Hey everyone, Raven Maureen, here! July's course is live! And I know you might have questions about finding the right fabric and notions for your project.
This month's pattern includes the racer tank, biker shorts and an overlay skirt for a super cute, matching work out look. This pattern was designed with performance fabric in mind (ie: spandex, swimwear and other 4-way stretch fabrics that have great resistance).

Today I'm sharing 3 places to find the best performance fabric, plus where to find the drawstring cord for the overlay skirt.
Blue Moon Fabrics (based in LA | online store)
Blue Moon Fabrics is a top choice for me when it comes to performance, spandex and swimwear fabric. Not only is their selection endless (they have every color you can think of), but you can purchase swatches, power mesh, explore textures and even netting for a really unique, one-of-a-kind look!

Mood Fabrics (based in NYC, LA and Miami | online store)
Mood Fabrics is top tier for so many reasons, but what I love most is their quality fabrics. Their performance fabric is typically vibrant, ranging in beautiful and unique prints. But most of all their selection is thoughtful. Mood has a sustainability program - they have fabric that has been produced with recycled materials. Look for the "MoodEarth Verified" symbol when shopping online. Not to mention that some of their performance fabric includes UV Protection. That's pretty noteworthy!

JoAnn (based in the U.S. | online & brick and mortar stores)
JoAnn is probably the most widely known fabric store on this list. With 850 stores across the U.S. their accessibility is hard to match. If you love to go to fabric stores to get your eyes and hands on fabric, this is a perfect option. They carry performance and spandex fabric in their stores and online. Keep an eye out for their mailers and coupons to snag a few yards of fabric at a discounted price.
The drawstring on the skirt is such a great detail! It definitely gives it that sporty edge. Here are a couple of links to find some cording:
